The best teams that I worked in or led, had one simple element figured out.
Space.
No one was cramped for room, feet weren’t getting stamped, no one felt nervous about opportunities ahead of them.
Good teams have individuals who succeed at tight-rope walks. And then win big when they are performing circus acrobatics, catching others in mid air. Space allows people to do backflips for others and succeed together.
There’s plenty of space to fall. Good teams also know how not to get too far from each other.
